Mass production of micro-gears and cylindrical gears, as well as worm gears and internal tooth gears

The company

Lip Srl, based in Corsico, Milan, specializes in the production of gears and gear motors for industries across various sectors in the UK and internationally.

In addition to a comprehensive catalog of standard products, the company manufactures gears based on custom designs or samples in small, medium, or large series – depending on the type – successfully combining high-quality standards with rapid delivery times.

Established in the post-war period, Lip Srl was initially named 'La. Pre. Me.,' which stands for 'La Precisione Meccanica' or 'Mechanical Precision.' It was located in Via Figino, Milan.

The initial focus was on the production of precision hardware and micro-gears.

In the 1960s, Lip Srl expanded its operations into thermoplastic molding, still within the precision gears sector. It promptly seized the market's plastic material development, which was experiencing significant growth at that time. The company specialized in rapidly expanding industrial sectors, such as gears for telephone switchboards and windscreen wipers for automobiles.

The early 1970s marked another significant milestone in the company's continuous expansion. With the ongoing growth, the management decided to construct a new headquarters, the current one located at Via C. Colombo, 11 in Corsico. Over time, this facility has undergone various expansions and now encompasses 7,000 square meters of industrial warehouses and 400 square meters dedicated to offices.

The company currently employs around 45 direct staff and a substantial workforce. Concurrently, the company changed its business name to LIP "Precision Gears Processing – Ltd."

Over the years, the company has continued its expansion in plastic molding and diversified the application areas of its products. It has increasingly specialized in the production of precision gears in metal and plastic and gear mechanisms for professional applications. These productions have been highly appreciated by client industries.

Continuing its expansion and diversification efforts, in the 1990s, the company began manufacturing fractional reducers and gear motors. This activity has steadily grown to become one of the company's key strengths.
